The client is a UK-based cloud payments platform that provides financial services, mainly online stores. As the client is preparing to enter new markets, they require additional integrations to support their growth.

Challenge

The client engaged DataArt to help them achieve sustainable expansion, provide support for various payment systems, and set up important payment integrations.

Solution

DataArt’s team worked as part of the client’s IT team, helping them develop their sub-products, namely the payment gateway component.
Apart from fine-tuning the payment gateway, DataArt developed new features alongside the client’s IT team, driven by the rapid expansion of the client's business.
These new features can be categorized as public-facing and internal.

Public-facing features:

Enabling payments for both legal entities and individuals (previously, it was only possible to make payments to legal entities)
Adapting the protocol data according to different payment processors’ requirements
Developing a public-facing API

Internal features:

Creating new services to deploy data in other formats
Optimizing services for data storage, resulting in faster requests processing and a more stable system
Enhancing data processing capabilities

How It Was Done

DataArt provided team augmentation services to the client, supporting their in-house IT team throughout the payment processing stages and its different functionalities, such as storing credit card data, protocol support, etc.

As the project progressed, DataArt’s team became actively involved in large-scale tasks, including the migration of the current data warehouse to a new back-end component developed by the client’s team, which served multiple lines of business. Since the entire service architecture was built on AWS, the DataArt team was able to apply its extensive cloud expertise. Over time, our experienced team mastered the client’s platform and accumulated the necessary knowledge to help them scale its business further.
