The client is one of the biggest online education platforms in North America with over 4 million enrolled students. The marketplace provides an opportunity for tutors and education service providers to sell their paid courses and connect to various users and corporations looking for learning materials online.

Challenge

The company has decided to grow and introduce new features and possibilities into their e-commerce platform. The key element the client wanted to achieve is to allow lecturers from different universities to upload their courses online themselves and allow users to buy various bundles instead of single materials. Furthermore, the client was looking to optimise their search engine to increase sales volumes as well as creating a subscription option for users to access archived lectures.

Solution

In under 2 months DataArt created a fully redesigned marketplace with 3 new sections. These sections included a multi-course course selection functionality, an independent tutors platform and a corporate plan subscription.

In the redesigned platform, students were given the opportunity to choose any program they want, enroll, upload assignments and receive online tutorials. Furthermore, any tutor was provided with the ability to seamlessly upload or stream their lectures and communicate with students via their tutor portals.
